4 Week Wheel Throwing Course (October)

Service Description

Absolutely no experience necessary! This four week beginner pottery course is perfect for those with little to no experience, but are interested in delving into a new hobby! Learn how to make pottery from start to finish! Course breakdown: * Week 1 (10/9): Throwing cylinders and basic forms * Week 2 (10/16): Throwing basic forms and shaping * Week 3 (10/23): Trimming and altering * Week 4 (10/30): Waxing, taping, and glazing You will be responsible for FULL cleanup during each 2hr class! All tools, supplies, and materials will be provided, and each session will be guided by one of our highly skilled and patient instructors! While all pieces made during this course are included in the overall price, we encourage all participants to focus on quality over quantity! Everything you make will be food, drink, microwave, and dishwasher safe! This is a mixed group COMMUNAL course. As such, you will be learning alongside several other people, each with varying levels of skills and needs. If you are looking for a greater amount of hands-on help, then our private class packs might be a better fit! Following your fourth and final session, your pieces will be glaze fired and ready for pick up 2-3 weeks later! Missed sessions are non-refundable, and are not required to be made up. However, if desired, they may be made up during select one-off communal classes, for a fee of $50. Why the make-up fee? With only one multi-week course per month, extra steps must be taken by Pinch staff to accommodate make-up sessions. This often means reserving a seat within a one-off class, that would have otherwise been occupied by another customer. This charge will help cover a small portion of the cost of instruction associated with your lesson, as well as the loss of income that comes from setting aside a seat that would have otherwise been available for booking. We greatly appreciate your understanding!! Again, missed sessions do not NEED to be made up. Rather, we provide this offering or those who desire to do so.
