Pinch Pottery Studio Booking Policies

Pinch is owned and operated by one person, alongside a small team of part-time freelance instructors. Because of this, we run solely on appointment-based scheduling. Your mindfulness and consideration of our time and resources is truly appreciated.

When you book with us, you’re not just supporting a small business — you’re reserving a dedicated spot in our limited booking calendar. That time is held specifically for you, which means it cannot be booked by anyone else.

One-time lessons, classes, & drop-in studio time:

Rescheduling

  • Lessons, classes, and drop-in time may be rescheduled one (1) time free of charge if the request is made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled session.

  • Rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled session will incur a $50 rescheduling fee.

Cancellations

  • Lessons, classes, and drop-in time canceled at least 7 days prior to the scheduled session are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made after 7 days but before 48 hours prior to the scheduled session will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

Party Modifications

  • No refunds will be issued for party members unable to attend.

  • If notified before your party arrives and before the session begins, a voucher may be issued in the amount of $78, for the absent participant to use toward a future communal session.

  • If we are not notified in advance, the absence will be considered a no-call, no-show and no voucher will be provided.

 

4-week wheel throwing course:

Rescheduling

  • Missed sessions are non-refundable, and are not required to be made up. However, if desired, they may be made up during select one-off communal classes, for a fee of $50. Why the fee? With only one multi-week course per month, extra steps must be taken by Pinch staff to accommodate make-up sessions. This often means reserving a seat within a one-off class, that would have otherwise been occupied by another customer. This charge will help cover a small portion of the cost of instruction associated with your lesson, as well as the loss of income that comes from setting aside a seat that would have otherwise been available for booking.

Cancellations

  • Missed sessions are non-refundable.

Seasonal and specialty workshops:

Rescheduling

  • Seasonal and specialty workshops are ineligible for rescheduling.

Cancellations

  • Seasonal and specialty workshop bookings canceled at least 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop are eligible for a full refund.

  • Cancellations made after 7 days but before 48 hours prior to the scheduled session will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

  • No refunds or vouchers will be issued for party members unable to attend.

 

Private Events:

Rescheduling

  • Private events may be rescheduled one (1) time, up until 10 days prior to the scheduled session.

Cancellations​

  • Private events canceled prior to 10 days of their scheduled session will forfeit their $300 deposit.

  • Cancellations made after 10 days but before 48 hours prior to the scheduled session will receive a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled session are non-refundable.

Party Modifications

  • No refunds or vouchers will be issued for party members unable to attend.

Refunds

  • Outside of the policies outlined above, refunds are strictly at the owner’s discretion.

  • Your session fee covers the experience itself. While most participants walk away with a finished, usable piece, this is not guaranteed. Refunds will not be issued if pieces do not turn out as expected.

  • Refunds will not be issued for pieces not picked up within the 4-week window (after email notification), resulting in donation. This includes situations where emails land in spam/junk folders or are otherwise missed by the customer.

Please Note

  • This policy does not change due to unexpected life events, obligations, or changes of plan.

  • There are no refunds, reschedulings, or vouchers for no-shows.

  • Like many small pottery studios, Pinch maintains a strict no-refund policy. To keep things fair to everyone — ourselves included — no exceptions will be made.
