Pinch Pottery Studio Booking Policies
Pinch Pottery Studio is owned and operated by one person, with support from a small team of part-time instructors. As an appointment-based studio with limited availability, cancellations, no-shows, and short-notice rescheduling have a direct impact on daily operations. When you book with us, you are reserving a dedicated spot in our limited calendar. That time is held exclusively for you and cannot be offered to another guest.
Please note that our policies are designed to be fair and accommodating, and are generally far more flexible than those of many similar studios. We kindly ask that guests approach these policies with the same level of respect and understanding. Your mindfulness and consideration of our time and resources is greatly appreciated!

4 Week Wheel Throwing Course:
Rescheduling
-
Before registering, participants are encouraged to confirm that all four session dates align with their schedule. Our multi-week courses follow a structured timeline, with each session occurring in a specific order based on the pottery process. Many studios maintain a strict no make-up policy in which missed classes are simply forfeited. While missed sessions at Pinch are non-refundable, we aim to be as fair and accommodating as possible whenever possible.
-
If you anticipate being absent, please notify us ahead of your scheduled session so we can plan and prepare accordingly.
-
Please note that make-up sessions may not always be possible due to the structured nature of the course. When available, make-ups should ideally take place prior to the next regularly scheduled class to keep you on track with the course and avoid disruptions to fellow participants. When availability and timing permit, participants wishing to make up a missed session may do so by joining select, 90 minute, one-time communal classes. Because these make-up sessions follow the communal class format, they will not be an exact replica of the missed 4 week course session; however, they do provide additional guided wheel time and continued practice.
-
Make-up availability cannot be guaranteed, as our one-time communal classes often fill up quickly. Reaching out well in advance to notify us of your absence and your desire to schedule a make-up session will typically allow for greater availability and more scheduling options.
-
Make-up sessions will incur a $50 fee.
Why the make-up fee?
With only one multi-week course offered per month, and a limited number of wheels available per class, accommodating make-up sessions requires additional coordination by our team and often involves reserving a seat in a communal class that would otherwise be available to another guest. This fee helps cover a portion of the additional instructional time as well as the lost booking opportunity.
Cancellations
-
No refunds will be provided for participants who are unable to attend their scheduled course. However, registration may be transferred to a future course if arrangements are made at least two (2) weeks prior to the course start date. Missed sessions are non-refundable, and course fees will not be prorated for any sessions not attended.

Please be mindful that Pinch Pottery Studio is a small business, owned and operated by one individual, and we kindly ask that all policies be respected. Attempts to pressure exceptions outside of these guidelines will not be accommodated or tolerated.
-
Your session fee covers the experience itself. While most participants leave with a finished, usable piece, outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Refunds will not be issued for pieces that do not turn out as expected.
-
Refunds will not be provided for pieces not picked up within the designated 4-week window following email notification, after which items will be donated. This includes instances where emails land in spam/junk folders or are otherwise missed by the customer.
Please Note
-
These policies remain in effect regardless of unexpected life events, illness, scheduling conflicts, or a change in plans.
-
No-shows are not eligible for refunds, rescheduling, or vouchers under any circumstances.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and support of our small studio!!
