Part-Time Wheel Throwing Instructor

A bit about this position:
This role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a fun, creative, and relaxed environment. You’ll blend customer service with teaching as you lead pottery lessons, classes, and events, while helping to maintain an organized, community-centered studio space.

Hours & Pay:
Sundays from 8:30am–1:00pm, Saturdays from 6:30-9pm (must be able to consistently work both shifts), with the possibility of Thursday evenings and occasional support for lesson coverage, workshops, and events.
This is a W-2 position paying $25/hour.

Qualifications & requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on ceramics experience, with a strong proficiency in wheel throwing, handbuilding, and glazing techniques
-
Ability to teach clearly and confidently in a supportive and approachable environment (warm, patient, and encouraging)
-
Significant customer service experience, with a friendly, professional, and engaging approach to guest interactions
-
Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented with a consistent work ethic
-
Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills
-
Prior teaching experience strongly preferred

Freelance Substitute Wheel Throwing Instructors

A bit about this position:
We're looking to add to our list of substitute wheel throwing instructors! This role is perfect for those who enjoy working in a fun, creative, and relaxed environment and have a flexible schedule. You’ll blend customer service with teaching as you lead pottery lessons, classes, and events, while helping to maintain an organized, community-centered studio space.

Hours & Pay:
You will serve as a substitute instructor on an as-needed basis, filling in for our primary instructors when coverage is required. When sessions become available, we’ll reach out, and you may accept shifts based on your availability.
We offer lessons seven days a week, with the majority of classes held Friday through Sunday. Weekday classes typically take place in the afternoon and evening.
This is a freelance 1099 position paying $25/hour.
