Fridate Night for 2ppl! (BYOB*)

Service Description

**This session is BYOB friendly, thus all participants must be 21 years or older. Beer, wine, or seltzers only. Beverages are to be brought by the participant, as Pinch will NOT be supplying alcohol of any kind! No experience necessary! This booking is for two people, and is designed to be a fun, relaxed, and unique date night! While it is not a traditional/formal lesson, it is a wonderful way to get your hands dirty, give pottery a try, and be creative with your partner, at a discounted rate! During this experience you and your partner will share a wheel, and will be given several 1 lb balls of clay from which you can create. Partner throwing is loads of fun, as it allows you to tandem throw, and create pottery together! Please note that this is a mixed group COMMUNAL class. As such, you will be learning alongside several other couples, each with varying levels of skills and needs. Additionally, as noted, you and your partner will have one work station (wheel, tools, and materials) to share. As a pair, you and your partner can expect to make 2-4 pieces during during your session, though we encourage you to lean into the experience and focus on quality over quantity! If you are looking for a greater amount of hands-on help, your own work station, or have specific ideas in mind of what you want to learn to make, then a private lesson might be a better fit! It also makes for a more intimate, and equally enjoyable, date! :) Make something during your class that you like and want to keep? Amazing! The firing of one piece per person is included in the class price. However, additional pieces (up to 3 per person) will be subject to a $10 service charge per piece. This $10 firing fee, covers the cost associated with the extra labor and kiln space needed to fire your pottery. That said, please note that the goal is to learn about the ceramic process, get your hands dirty, and have fun! The creation of a pottery piece is secondary! :) Your chosen piece(s) will be cleaned up, glazed, and fired by us in the available color(s) of your choosing and ready for pick up in 6 weeks. By the time they are complete, they will be food, drink, microwave, dishwasher, and even oven safe! __________ Session breakdown: * 15-20 min walkthrough of the ceramic process + demo * 45 min of wheel time (we will be there every step of the way) * 10-min for clean up * 15 min for decorating, altering, + color selection
